The GII (referred to below as the “GII” or “we” “or “us” or “our”) maintains this website (globalinnovationindex.org) as part of efforts to provide broad public access to information.   1. Blog content: The GII site publishes blog content contributed by third party sources as well as by GII publishers and collaborators. All proprietary rights for articles and content on the GII site remain with the original source or the author of the article.

Indices data: The GII strives to enhance public access to and use of the index data that it collects and publishes, unless only normalized values are available due to confidentiality reasons of data providers. The GII provides access to the index’s data free of charge subject to individual data source terms of agreement, as noted in the GII report’s Appendix III: Sources & Definitions. Use of data derived from datasets, which may appear in formats such as tables and charts, is also subject to these terms. You may view, extract, or download the GII’s available datasets for data and years provided on the GII website.
  3. Use of content: By using datasets or other materials from the GII website, you agree to provide attribution to the GII and its content providers in the following format: Global Innovation Index [Year]: Dataset/Material.
  4. Noncommercial: You may not use any dataset or materials from the GII website for commercial purposes.
  5. No endorsement: You may not publicly represent or imply that the GII is participating in, or has sponsored, approved, or endorsed the manner or purpose of your use of GII datasets or materials.
  6. No association: You may not use any official logo of the GII nor in any event to represent or imply an association or affiliation with the GII, without the GII’s prior written consent.
  7. Intellectual property rights: The GII website and its entire contents are owned by the GII, its co-publishers, member institutions, knowledge partners, service providers, or other providers of such material.
  8. Information accuracy: Although every effort has been made to provide complete and accurate information, the GII makes no warranties, express or implied, or representations as to the accuracy of content on this website. The GII assumes no liability or responsibility for any error or omissions in the information contained in the website or the operation of the website.
